Putting the FUN in fundraising!
The PTA provides an opportunity for teachers and parents to work and socialise together. It enables parents to get involved in the school and provide extra resources and activities for their children’s education.
The PTA supports the Board of Trustees in fundraising for the school. Innovative activities are planned by the committee (eg, Agriculture Day, Fireworks Fiesta, Quiz Night, Gala Day), which works hard to make families in the school community feel welcome and informed. Parents are encouraged to join and attend meetings held at regular intervals at the school.
Meetings
The PTA holds meetings two or three times a term. Our next meeting date is published in the School Newsletter. We usually meet at 7pm in the School Staffroom.
Membership
We are a friendly bunch and welcome new members. Even if you cannot make every meeting, we still value your input into our activities (both fun and formal), and fundraising events.

Fundraising

In recent years we have raised funds which allowed us to extend and seal the car park, and to paint the lines, and we’ve just refreshed the lines again recently. We have donated several i-Pads to the school, which are being used throughout the school in learning activities and are in hot demand! We have just donated money to purchase TVs for learning activities, and these are now in use in the Kowhai and Rata blocks.
And the two fantastic gazebos that the PTA purchased last year have been used at all sorts of sporting and community events already.
A large donation towards the Kowhai block’s deck roof was made in 2019, which enable the juniors to have an all-weather learning and play space with shelter from the sun and wind.
The next big ticket item is fundraising for the new playground.
