Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees (BOT) is an elected group of parents, the Principal and a staff trustee.  The role of the Board is to govern the school, providing strategic leadership, ensuring standards of education are met, resources are provided, and that it complies with legal and policy requirements.  “Enhancing student achievement” is the Board’s focus.
 

Elections

Board elections are held every three years. The next triennial elections are due to be held from 7 September 2022. Nominations for trustees open on 15 July and close at noon on 3 August 2022.

What is on the Radar

Staff Car Park – the removal of the stump in front of the office and laying concrete for the staff car park.This is starting in the next 2-3 weeks and will cause minor disruption for parents and students arriving and leaving the school.Rata Hub Upgrade – we have agreement with the MOE on an upgrade to the Rata Hub to improve the learning environment for students.

Asbestos – As part of H&S we have just completed an asbestos plan for the School.
150 Reunion – this year Ohaupo School celebrates 150 years. There will be a reunion for past and current students and teachers.
