A warm invitation is extended to our community to attend a special assembly to farewell our current Deputy Principal Mr Chris Rennie next Friday 6 July at 9a.m. followed by morning tea. Mr Rennie first taught at Ōhaupō School in 2008 as the Yrs. 6 & 7 teacher and re-joined us in 2014 as one of the Yrs. 5 & 6 teachers. In 2016 he became the Yrs. 7 & 8 teacher and in 2017 Mr Rennie won our Deputy Principal’s position.

Mr Rennie has been instrumental in the establishment of the Yrs 7 & 8 Kauri Hub as a collaborative learning and teaching space for all learners; the Cool Schools Programme; building a positive relationship and creating opportunities for our students with the various enviro groups involved in the local peat lakes and he was the staff trustee for the current and previous Board of Trustees.

This is just a snap shot of all the contributions Chris has made to Ōhaupō School. Please feel free to join us at his farewell assembly on Friday 6 July at 9a.m. Kindly email the office of your intention to attend to assist us with catering requirements.
